For Pete's Sake—Enough with winter, already!
Snow.
Seriously. Two weeks ago, I was sitting out on the deck soaking up some sun and yesterday, we flew into St. Louis from Napa Valley, and it was snowing. Yuck. If you haven’t figured it out yet, I’m not a snow kind of girl. Doesn’t mean I have to have the beach 24/7 (Although, yes, I love the beach.) and I don’t even need super warm temperatures all the time. But I do not like snow.
No big deal, right? Because my son told me via text that it had stopped snowing here earlier yesterday, and by the time we got our bags and took our daughter to dinner before we left St. Louis, the snow had stopped there, and the sun was out.
The sun was out when I got up this morning…and I just took the puppy out a few minutes ago, and it was raining—almost felt like sleet.
Spring in the Midwest, right?
I just did a few updates on the website and noticed I hadn’t posted anything on the blog since February, so I thought I would just check in with you guys! I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy! Have you gotten the vaccination yet? One of 4 of us has had it. Working on everyone else.
It’s been busy here with book stuff and real-life stuff, too! Archie, our mini-doxxie puppy, is 4 months old now, and he’s grown a lot! Still ornery, though. He’s giving me a run for my money, trying to keep up with him and the writing stuff. As he’s a bit spoiled already, he doesn’t like it when I sit down at my desk to work.
We’ve traveled a little this year—a couple of work trips for JB and we just took our yearly anniversary trip to Sonoma and Napa Valley. It’s always such a fun trip, and it’s so pretty out there. We spent the weekend with my brother-in-law and his wife! Shared some good laughs and good wine.
I’m working on a secret project. Can’t say much about it yet, but it’s going well. I also recently published the H Books 2 and 2.5—Hookin’ Up and Holdin’ On. There may be other H books in the future, but I’m not ready to jump into that yet. I think next up will be a little work on French Stuff, the novella I wrote last spring. I’m ready to expand it a bit and share Line and Devlin with all of you!
Let’s all cross our fingers and hope for some sunny, spring weather! I guess the rainy days are good for being inside & reading &
Writing!
